Abílio Simões

Abílio Duarte Simões nasceu em 7 de dezembro de 1948, na aldeia de Comenda, Gavião, Portalegre. Tirou o curso geral dos liceus. Como atividade profissional, foi Fator, Chefe de Estação, e durante muitos anos Chefia Intermédia da CP na categoria de Inspetor. De 1970 a 1972 foi combatente na guerra do Ultramar em Moçambique. Em 2000 participou num concurso de Poesia Regional, onde obteve uma Menção Honrosa. Começou a escrever em 2020, o livro Recordações do Alentejo. Tem mais dois livros que aguardam publicação.
