Štepánka Sekaninová é licenciada em Checo e História pela Faculdade de Artes da Universidade de Masaryk. Enquanto estudante, começou a trabalhar em televisão como repórter, depois em produção de entretenimento e programas infantis. Mais tarde passou a editora literária da Albatros Media e assim realizou um sonho de infância, escrever e trabalhar rodeada de belos livros.
