Conn Iggulden nasceu em 1971. Abandonou o ensino depois de escrever o romance "The Gates of Rome", tendo-se convertido num escritor de referência em ficção histórica, com livros como "The Death of Kings", "The Field of Swords" e "The Gods of War".
