Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The principal buildings of his reign (c. 1200-1169 bc.) were the Amen temple and the temple of Khons at Karnak; a temple near the temple of Mut; and his great mortuary temple at Medinet Habu. His tomb is no. 11 in the Valley of the Kings; but his mummy, now in Cairo Museum, was not found there but in the hiding-place at Thebes, in one of the coffins of Queen Aahmes Nefert-ari (dynasty XVIII.) in 1881. With touching, but not rare, filial affection he had appropri ated his father''s tomb, thoughtfully plaster ing over the parental cartouches; but time, the revealer, has removed some of the later stucco, and Setnekht''s name may still be read. Nothing else in the tomb gives any family details, as, true to the practice in decorating royal tombs, the life of the future is the sole subject (see the Old Egyptian pezm, and Two Téeécm Queens).
