SOBRE O AUTOR
Vaclav Havel
Escritor, dramaturgo e político checo. Nasceu em 1936, em Praga. Militante da liberalização do regime desde a Primavera de Praga, tornou-se conhecido como activista da defesa dos direitos humanos, o que lhe valeu ser preso por diversas vezes. Com o fim do regime comunista, foi nomeado presidente da República (1989-1992). Demitiu-se quando o país ficou dividido com a declaração de independência da Eslováquia, mas em Janeiro de 1993 regressou à presidência, tendo sido eleito pelo Parlamento.
