We also explore the different traditions regarding the sacraments and, more importantly, the basis upon which these traditions are established. The author addresses these issues from the perspective that the Scriptures are the only infallible guide to Christian doctrine and that the primary source of church doctrine must be the teachings of Christ and His apostles. The reader should be prepared to have some of his or her deeply held religious teachings challenged by the word of God.
