The authors put his life and work in context and give an appreciation of his scientific and literary work. They have researched archival material in Glasgow, Liverpool, London and Stockholm and the biography will include some hitherto unpublished illustrations. This will be the first thorough study since Sir Ronald''s autobiography was published in 1923.
