In 676 AD, during the Tang Dynasty's Yifeng reign, Emperor Gaozong Li Zhi sent Li Chunfeng of the Bureau of Astronomy and Geomancy to find his tomb site with Yuan Tiangang. Li Chunfeng set off first. A year later, he found a place with excellent geomantic properties, and couldn't help laughing. He buried a copper coin and returned to Chang'an. Yuan Tiangang travelled the world, looking for a dragon and checking the acupuncture points, but couldn't find a suitable place. He returned in a huff, and when he passed Liangshan in Gany County, Shaanxi, his eyes lit up. He sneered, plucked a hairpin from his head and inserted it into the ground, then returned to the capital to report back. The hairpin was inserted exactly in the middle of the copper coins... Later generations mistakenly believed that this was the Gan Mausoleum, but in fact it is not. Today, more than 1,300 years later, what can be seen here are a few dilapidated brick houses. Hanging under the eaves is a dark wooden plaque that has been exposed to the elements for years, on which the two characters "inn" can be faintly seen. This is an old corpse inn.
