Nightbane (The Lightlark Saga Book 2) eBook

I was curious about it and had some hopes because of the first book. I wanted to know more about the world and its people... but that didn't really happen. The world-building was almost none, which was a shame since the book had so much potential. This book focuses a LOT on romance, so if you are a fan of it, probably this book is for you. The use of going back and foward to the past could have been super nice, if they were explaining the world, but instead was mostly explaining how two characters met each other Again, if you like romance you will enjoy this one, but if you are just like me and need more than that you will probably be disappointed

I am quite disappointed on this one. I was super excited and curious since the first one ended in a cliffhanger but it wasn't what I expected. There was almost no world-building, which is a shame since there is so much to tell, so many realms and so much to explore in this universe, I wanted to know more about their powers and how people were living now that the curses were broken. There is a love triangle going on, so if you like that trope you will love this book, but in my case, I am not the biggest fan so maybe that is why I didn't like it as much as the first one. This book focuses a lot on that

Existe uma coisa chamada síndrome do segundo livro, este livro sofre dela. Gostei bastante do primeiro (mesmo achando bem clichê), e o segundo livro parece que quis desenvolver tudo e ao mesmo tempo não desenvolveu nada. Não houve grandes avanços nem reviravoltas e o final foi previsível. Também não sou grande fã de capítulos que alternam entre o passado e o presente, o que acontece neste livro, e isso também prejudicou a minha experiência de leitura (especialmente porque os capítulo do presente não estavam a avançar a história).
