SOBRE O AUTOR

Romano Guardini

Nascido em Verona em 1885 e falecido em Munique em 1968, Romano Guardini notabilizou-se sobretudo como professor universitário, sucessivamente, em Bona, Berlim, Tubinga e Munique. A partir de alguns autores que estudou mais particularmente, tais como Sócrates, S. Agostinho, S. Boaventura, Dante, Pascal, Hölderlin e Dostoievski, foi um dos mais eloquentes defensores do humanismo cristão, no nosso tempo, tentando harmonizar a natureza e a graça, fazendo incindir a luz do Cristianismo sobre os mais urgentes problemas da cultura contemporânea.
