SOBRE O AUTOR

Leah Fleming

Leah Fleming nasceu no Lancashire e é filha de pais escoceses. É casada, tem quatro filhos já crescidos e quatro netos. Os seus locais favoritos para escrever são a sua quinta meio assombrada no Yorkshire, ou a encosta de um olival na ilha de Creta.
Licenciou-se na universidade de Leeds nos loucos anos sessenta, foi professora primária e ensinou literatura a adultos. Ao mudar-se para o Yorkshire, abriu um negócio de catering e deu workshops de combate ao stress.

É autora, entre muitos outros romances, de The Girl Under The Olive Tree, The Postcard e de The Last Pearl, aclamados pelo público e pela crítica.
Com o presente título, A Filha do Capitão, venceu em 2012 o Prémio Roma para ficção traduzida.
