Karin Tidbeck é uma autora sueca natural de Estocolmo. Vive em Malmö, onde se dedica à escrita em sueco e em inglês e a trabalhos de tradução. A sua primeira obra em inglês, Jagannath, recebeu o Prémio Crawford e foi finalista do World Fantasy Award. Amatka foi finalista dos Prémios Locus e Compton Crook, em 2018, tendo sido também um dos selecionados para a lista de melhores do ano do The Guardian.
