Patricia Cornwell

Patricia Cornwell é autora de inúmeros bestsellers, publicados pela Presença, tais como Jack, o Estripador - Retrato de Um Assassino, Post-Mortem - o único thriller a ganhar os prémios Edgar, Creasey, Anthony e Macavity, assim como o French Prix du Roman d’Aventure - e Cruel e Invulgar, galardoado com o Gold Dagger Award para o melhor policial em 1993. A sua protagonista, a médica forense Drª Kay Scarpetta, recebeu o prémio Sherlock em 1999 como melhor detetive criada por um autor americano.
