Martin Cruz Smith
Martin Cruz Smith nasceu em Reading, na Pennsylvania, em cuja universidade se formou em 1964. Trabalhou como jornalista e iniciou a sua carreira de escritor na década de setenta. Entre a sua obra, várias vezes premiada, destacam-se Parque Gorky, publicado com um sucesso retumbante em inúmeros países, A Baía de Havana, Red Square, A Contagem Final, O Estrela Polar e Rose.
