In 2013 the Football Association will be celebrating its 150th anniversary, with a number of prestigious fixtures being lined up in order to recognise this landmark. The opponents for these friendlies have not yet been announced (although much speculated upon), since England are in the midst of a World Cup qualifying campaign; should qualification be achieved without the need to appear in play-offs or, heaven forbid, England fail to qualify altogether, then the November 2013 dates will be utilised by events to mark the anniversary.
