"The Enchanted April" by Elizabeth Von Arnim is a novel set in post-World War I England, following four women who take a month-long holiday in an Italian castle overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. As they explore the beautiful Italian countryside and interact with the locals, they each experience a sense of transformation and renewal.
