The title is meant for different post graduate courses of various universities and management institutes. It deals with the concept of business environment and its various components. The book addresses the Keynesian theory of income determination in the context of closed and open economies. It also deals with the present industrial policy and various economic reforms introduced since July 1991, including disinvestment and privatization of public sector units (PSUs), and financial sector reforms. The last two chapters of the title focus on the global financial crisis of 2008 and its impact on the economy, the effect of Eurozone (or sovereign debt) crisis on the balance of payments and certain key environmental issues with particular reference to sustainable development.
