John McWhorter (EUA, 1965) é professor de Linguística, Estudos Americanos e História da Música na Columbia University. Colabora com o The New York Times, é editor na The Atlantic e apresenta o podcast Lexicon Valley, sobre língua. Já publicou artigos em orgãos de comunicação como The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Time, The Daily Beast, The New Republic e The Root.
