In addition, the survey asks how student teachers assess their own digital skills. In teacher training and further education, digital media appears as a kind of hopeful scenario for the education system per se. In the search for efficient, innovative measures, technical innovations (e.g. e-learning measures/digital media) are seen as a beacon of hope for a possible or necessary change in conventional teacher training. For years, the question of improving the professionalism of teachers through the use of digital media has been raised - initially during their studies, but above all in their professional lives.
