It's nearly twenty five years that the Consumer Protection Act was enacted. With three amendments, the Act has achieved some measure of success in not only redressal of consumer complaints but also galvanizing the consumer movement in the country. However, there is much more to be achieved. We need to assess the impact of the legislation to move forward and it is in this context that the book assumes importance.
