Spencer Quinn
Spencer Quinn, natural de Boston, teve uma série de empregos, desde pescador nas Bahamas a produtor de televisão na CBC (Canadá). Começou a escrever a série policial Echo Falls Mistery sob o seu verdadeiro nome: Peter Abrahams. As suas obras foram recebidas com excelentes críticas, foi finalista do Edgar Award e vencedor do Agatha Award. Ainda assim, e apesar de Stephen King publicamente afirmar que Peter é o seu escritor favorito, debatia-se com as fracas vendas dos seus livros, o que o levou a criar o pseudónimo de Spencer Quinn, e com ele uma nova série, protagonizada pelo cão Chet e o seu dono Bernie. Os livros tornaram-se imediatamente um enorme sucesso de vendas. O escritor, cujas influências literárias vão de Nabokov e Graham Greene a Ross Macdonald, vive atualmente em Cape Cod com a mulher, os filhos e o cão.
