The book opens with a picture full of sun shine and beauty. Job is seen in a three-fold greatness. The first fact of that greatness is that of his wealth; the second is that of his family relationships; and the third is that of his relation to God. As to material wealth, he was the greatest of all the children of the East. As''to his family, he is seen rejoicing in the joy of his children, while caring for them in fatherly intercession. As to his God, he is declared to be perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
