O Dr. Brian Weiss licenciou-se Magna Cum Laude pela Universidade de Colúmbia e recebeu o seu diploma de Medicina na Escola de Medicina da Universidade de Yale. Fez o seu internato no Belevue Medical Center da Universidade de Nova Iorque. Foi residente-chefe do Departamento de Psiquiatria do Mount Sinai Medical Center em Miami Beach, na Florida, e Professor Associado de Medicina no Departamento de Psiquiatria da Escola de Medicina da Universidade de Miami. O Dr. Weiss tem uma clínica privada em Miami e é presidente honorário do Departamento de Psiquiatria do Mount Sinai Medical Center.
