SOBRE O AUTOR

Michael Wood

Nascido em 1948 em Manchester, é historiador, membro da Royal Society for the Arts, da Royal Historical Society e da Society of Antiquaries e professor de História Pública na Universidade de Manchester, tendo sido recentemente galardoado com a President’s Medal da British Academy. Também cineasta e apresentador de televisão de fama internacional, realizou mais de uma centena de documentários, saudados como «os mais inovadores programas de história vistos na televisão» pelo Independent. Contam-se, entre eles, In Search of the Dark Ages, In Search of the Trojan War, In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great, The Story of China e Du Fu: China’s Greatest Poet.
