John Mayall

John Mayall (29 de novembro de 1933 – 22 de julho de 2024) foi um dos músicos mais influentes e respeitados da cena do blues britânico, frequentemente referido como o "Pai do Blues Britânico". Nascido em Macclesfield, Inglaterra, Mayall foi uma figura central no ressurgimento do blues na Grã-Bretanha durante os anos 1960, particularmente como o líder da banda John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers.

A sua banda, os Bluesbreakers, tornou-se uma verdadeira instituição no mundo do blues, servindo como ponto de partida para alguns dos maiores guitarristas da história do rock, incluindo Eric Clapton, Peter Green e Mick Taylor. O álbum Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton (1966) foi um marco para o blues britânico e ajudou a consolidar Eric Clapton como uma das maiores estrelas do rock. Este álbum, em particular, é frequentemente citado como um dos mais influentes álbuns de blues de todos os tempos.
