This album continues my collaboration with Roberto Delgado and Orchestra. Once again, the group's virtuosity and versatility is wonderfully displayed through the different musical formats it presents: two trumpets, three trombones, Orchestra and Big Band sounds.

All the songs are my compositions, originals (Fotografias, Emigrantes, Hoy por ti), my interpretation of songs I wrote for others to sing, Senor Botanico, (1976, Ismael Miranda), La Barricada, (1975 Johnny Kenton), La Belleza del Son (Bobby Valentin, 1977), and a re-recording of Eso es Amar, a song I did with Ray Barreto (1975, Barreto). As a bonus I've added El Panquelero, (Abelardo Barroso, composer), sung by my alter-ego, Medoro Madera.

The musical arrangements were done by Roberto Delgado, Luis "Perico" Ortiz and Tom Kubis. From Panama, we present Ruben Blades and Roberto Delgado’s orquestra latest recording: "FOTOGRAFIAS".
