Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden é uma banda britânica de heavy metal formada em 1975 em Londres, Inglaterra, pelo baixista e principal compositor Steve Harris. A banda é amplamente reconhecida como uma das mais influentes e bem-sucedidas do heavy metal, sendo um dos pilares do movimento New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) que revitalizou o género no final dos anos 70 e início dos anos 80.

O álbum de estreia, Iron Maiden (1980), introduziu o som cru e energético da banda, destacando faixas como "Prowler" e "Phantom of the Opera". No entanto, foi com o segundo álbum, Killers (1981), que a banda começou a ganhar maior atenção, especialmente com a entrada do guitarrista Adrian Smith e o desenvolvimento de um som mais refinado e agressivo.

A chegada do vocalista Bruce Dickinson em 1981 marcou o início da era dourada da banda. O álbum The Number of the Beast (1982) é considerado um dos álbuns mais importantes da história do heavy metal.
