O doutor Ian Marshall formou-se em Psicologia e Filosofia em Oxford antes de terminar os seus estudos de Medicina na Universidade de Londres. É psiquiatra e psicoterapeuta. É casado com Danah Zohar e publicaram juntos vários livros de ensaio. Vivem em Oxford.
