Everyone remembers the Balkans from some decades ago, carved in the memory of dose late years of the 20th Century... A ring of fire, a gunpowder barrel, ready to explode... A problematic area, of course. And some stated that things started with WWI. Or maybe not, as Hooton explaines in his book, so important to understand this forgoten and so unknown period of conflit in Europe: the Balkan wars of 1912-13.
