Everyone must forge his own path, and Christopher Robin Milne sought his against the background of two key experiences. The first was being A. A. Milnes son, which he poignantly describes in his first book. The second was the war, after which he and his wife made their home in Dartmouth, Devon, founding the Harbour Bookshop in 1951.
