Congressional staffer Nick Taft steps off the Hill into the lobbying world of DC, assigned to Montana for his coalition where he befriends powerful Senator Clarence Waters. In efforts to reelect Waters, Nick is swept into a web of criminal activity involving a Mexican drug cartel that leads him into the vast and often dangerous Crow Reservation.
