Este livro é uma evocação, tributo e celebração da vida e obra de Cruzeiro Seixas, que visa compilar as diversas iniciativas realizadas ao longo seu percurso, de mais de 20 anos, com a Perve Galeria e a Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny, reunindo uma série de fotografias da autoria de Carlos Cabral Nunes, curador e diretor das duas instituições, que manteve uma relação de amizade com Cruzeiro Seixas.

Das iniciativas apresentadas existe um enfoque para as realizadas ao longo dos últimos dois anos, iniciadas em setembro de 2020, com o Ciclo de Celebração do Centenário de Cruzeiro Seixas, durante o qual foi produzido um catálogo que reuniu as três primeiras exposições do ciclo, que aconteceram na Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny, no espaço Atmosfera m Lisboa e na Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes.

Após a realização desse catálogo, foram realizadas outras iniciativas em Portugal e outros países europeus. Assim, o presente livro reúne todas as iniciativas realizadas no âmbito do Ciclo de Celebração do Centenário de Cruzeiro Seixas, nacionais e internacionais, acrescentando conteúdos relacionados, realizados desde o início da Perve Galeria, em 2000, nomeadamente os ciclos de celebração dos 60 e 70 anos sobre a primeira exposição do anti-grupo Os Surrealistas, do qual Cruzeiro Seixas foi membro-fundador.

This book is an evocation, tribute and celebration of the life and artwork of Cruzeiro Seixas, which aims to compile the various initiatives carried out over his path, of more than 20 years, with Perve Galeria and Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny, bringing together a series of photographs by Cabral Nunes, curator and director of the two institutions, who maintained a friendly relationship with Cruzeiro Seixas.

Of the initiatives presented there is a focus on those carried out over the last two years, beginning in September of 2020, with the Celebration Cycle of the Cruzeiro Seixas’ Centenary, during which a catalogue was produced that brought together the first three exhibitions of the cycle, which took place at the Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny, at the space Atmosfera m Lisbon and at the National Society of Fine Arts.

After that catalogue production, other initiatives were held in Portugal and other European countries, therefore, the present book gathers all the initiatives carried out within the Celebration Cycle of the Cruzeiro Seixas’ Centenary, national and international, adding related contents, held since the beginning of the Perve Galeria, in 2000, namely the celebration cycles of the 60th and 70th anniversary of the first exhibition of the anti-group The Surrealists, of which Cruzeiro Seixas was a founding member.
