A Romanian Holocaust survivor, Granirer went to Israel where she served in the army and to the US and Canada, where she became an artist, exhibiting nationally and internationally. She writes with wry optimism of being torn between familial duties and being an artist. Her life and art have been shaped by new ideas, bucking trends and her community.
