Journalists And The Public

Raises questions about the relationship between citizenship, journalism and democracy by looking at how journalists deal with letters to the editor. Based on ethnographic research and interviews with journalists who work with letters, this book examines how they understand the public, and how they view the newspaper's role in democracy.
