Health and Health Care Between Self-Help, Intermediary Organizations and Formal Poor Relief (1500-2005)
de Martin Dinges
Adressing the provision of health care, the actual debate reconsiders the hyper-professionalisation of health care and the rapid growth of costs in this sector. This has encouraged public debate on the share of voluntary, non professional aid and on other - often supplementary - actors in the medical market beyond national health care schemes. This public debate was the opportunity to reconsider as historians earlier debates on the question where to obtain and where to place healthcare.
