A variety of finished drawings are included--figures that emerged from the commedia dell'arte, fanciful beasts that might occupy a diorama in the American Museum of Natural History, cyclists pedaling through cities and countryside--all documenting the inventive play of the artist's imagination through the motion of his pen or pencil.
