The souls of the dead are restless, hungry for the reforged magic hidden within Naomi's blood. With help from his half-brother Arie, Reynolds uses his cunning to try and keep Naomi safe from the lure of the River of Souls, where the stains of the dead reside. The rest will not come as long as Naomi is alive.
