SOBRE O AUTOR

Augustine Thompson

Ordenado sacerdote em 1985, é professor de História na Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology (Califórnia). Doutorado em História pela Universidade da Califórnia, é especialista em História da Igreja medieval, especialmente de Itália.
É autor de numerosos artigos e de vários livros. Além de Irmãos Dominicanos é autor de "Francis of Assisi: A New Biography" (traduzido em outras línguas, entre as quais o português: "São Francisco de Assis: Uma Nova Biografia: O Homem por trás da Lenda, 2012) e "Revival Preachers and Politics in Thirteenth-Century Italy", 1992.
