Michael Neal, a gun toting magistrate, is a judicial officer in the Rhodesian midlands city of Gwelo. He is obliged to make the occasional foray into rural districts to preside over court in terrorist infested territory. Some of the legislation introduced by the illegal Ian Smith government causes him distress. How will he cope?
