ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jungle

Jungle is a British neo-soul and funk band, formed in 2013 in London by musicians Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, who are also known by the pseudonyms "J" and "T". The band quickly gained popularity thanks to their unique sound, which mixes elements of funk, soul, and electronic music, creating a retro but at the same time contemporary atmosphere.

Jungle's sound is characterized by danceable grooves, funk beats, lush vocal harmonies, and sophisticated production. His eponymous debut album, Jungle (2014), was released to great critical acclaim and stood out for tracks such as "Busy Earnin'" and "Time", which captured the attention of international audiences. The sound of the album is described as warm and engaging, reminiscent of 70s soul, but with a modern and electronic approach.

Jungle's music videos have also received a lot of attention for their creativity and the way they complement the song with impactful choreography and visuals. The band's visual aesthetic is just as important as their music, with a strong emphasis on videos that feature dance and choreographed movements.

The band's second album, For Ever (2018), explored new sonic territories, but kept the funky and soulful essence that characterizes Jungle. This album was inspired by the band members' experiences in Los Angeles and addresses themes such as love, loss, and the search for identity.

In 2021, Jungle released their third album, Loving in Stereo, which was well-received by fans and critics alike. The album was praised for its vibrant energy and for continuing to develop the band's distinctive sound, with tracks like "Keep Moving" standing out for their ability to create a festive and infectious atmosphere.

Jungle is known not only for their music, but also for their energetic and engaging live performances, which often include a full band and visually stunning performances. The band continues to be an innovative force in contemporary music, combining classical influences with modern production and a visual approach that is both artistic and accessible.
