The Verve

The Verve é uma banda britânica de rock alternativo que surgiu em Wigan, Inglaterra, em 1989. Liderada pelo carismático vocalista Richard Ashcroft, a banda rapidamente se destacou com as suas letras introspectivas e intensas e emotivas performances ao vivo. Com álbuns como "A Storm in Heaven" e "A Northern Soul", os The Verve estabeleceram-se como um dos principais nomes do movimento britpop dos anos 90, ao lado de bandas como Oasis e Blur. Mas foi com o lançamento de "Urban Hymns" em 1997 que a banda alcançou o seu maior sucesso, graças a hits como "Bitter Sweet Symphony" e "The Drugs Don't Work". Após uma separação turbulenta em 1999, a banda voltou a reunir-se em 2007 e lançaram o álbum "Forth". Mesmo com uma carreira marcada por altos e baixos, os The Verve deixaram um legado indelével na música britânica, com uma mistura única de psicodelia, rock e pop, e com a voz inconfundível de Richard Ashcroft.
