Charlie Christian

Charlie Christian foi um guitarrista de jazz americano pioneiro no uso da guitarra elétrica no género. Este destacou-se na banda de Benny Goodman nos anos 30 e 40, elevando o papel da guitarra no jazz. A sua técnica inovadora e improvisação criativa influenciaram profundamente músicos que se seguiram, contribuindo para a popularização da guitarra elétrica no jazz e em outros estilos musicais. Apesar da sua curta carreira devido à tuberculose, o seu legado fá-lo um dos grandes ícones da guitarra na história do jazz.
