ABOUT THE ARTIST

Twice

TWICE is a K-pop girl group formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015 through the survival program "Sixteen." The group consists of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. TWICE quickly became one of the most popular and influential K-pop groups, known for their catchy songs, energetic choreography, and vibrant, positive image.

TWICE made their official debut in October 2015 with the mini-album "The Story Begins," which included the single "Like OOH-AHH." The song was an immediate success, standing out for its catchy chorus and blend of pop and dance. "Like OOH-AHH" set the tone for TWICE's career, which would soon make them a leading group in the K-pop industry.

TWICE's success continued to grow with the release of their second mini-album, "Page Two," in April 2016. The single "Cheer Up" was a huge hit, topping the charts in South Korea and becoming one of the biggest hits of the year. The song was notable for its phrase "Shy, shy, shy," which became a viral phenomenon and a landmark in Korean pop culture. "Cheer Up" also earned the group several awards, including the prestigious Song of the Year award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).

In October 2016, TWICE released "TT," the lead single from their third mini-album "TWICEcoaster: Lane 1." "TT" was another resounding success, further solidifying the group's popularity. The iconic choreography and memorable chorus made "TT" one of TWICE's most recognizable songs, and the group continued to dominate the music charts.

In the following years, TWICE released a series of albums and singles that were widely well-received, both in South Korea and internationally. Albums such as "Twicetagram" (2017) and "Feel Special" (2019) included hits like "Likey," "Heart Shaker," "Fancy," and "Feel Special." Each release highlighted the group's ability to evolve musically, experimenting with different genres and themes while maintaining their unique identity.

TWICE also excelled in the Japanese market, where they released several albums and singles in Japanese, gaining a considerable fanbase. The group is widely credited with helping to popularize K-pop in Japan, where their albums regularly reach the top of the charts.

In addition to their commercial success, TWICE is known for their strong connection with fans, known as ONCE. The group maintains an active presence on social media and regularly holds events and fan meetings to interact with fans. Their warm and authentic approach has contributed to building a loyal and dedicated fanbase.

In 2020, TWICE released "More & More," which showcased a growing maturity in the group's sound and image. The song was a global hit and highlighted TWICE's ability to reinvent themselves while continuing to please fans. Later that year, they released "I Can't Stop Me," another hit that solidified their position as leaders in K-pop.

With a career marked by continuous success, TWICE has become one of the biggest and most successful girl groups in K-pop history. Their upbeat and catchy music, combined with impressive choreography and vibrant visuals, has secured the group a central place in global pop culture.

TWICE continues to release new music and tour internationally, constantly expanding their influence and reaching new audiences around the world. With a combination of talent, charisma, and a strong work ethic, TWICE maintains its position as one of the most beloved and respected K-pop groups.
