ABOUT THE ARTIST

Pitbull

Pitbull, stage name of Armando Christian Pérez, was born on January 15, 1981, in Miami, Florida. He is an American singer, rapper, songwriter and producer, known for his energetic and versatile style, which mixes elements of hip-hop, pop, reggaeton and electronic music. With a career filled with global successes, Pitbull has become one of the most recognized and celebrated figures in contemporary music.

The son of Cuban immigrants, Pitbull grew up in Miami, where he was heavily influenced by Latin culture and local hip-hop. His career began in the early 2000s, with appearances on mixtapes and collaborations with artists such as Lil Jon, who produced his debut album, M.I.A.M.I. (2004). This album stood out for tracks such as "Culo", which mixed Latin sounds with the crunk style, marking the beginning of a promising career.

International success came in 2009 with the album Rebelution, which included the hit "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)", a dance track that reached the top of the charts in several countries. From this moment on, Pitbull has established himself as a global artist, known for his festive lyrics and high-profile collaborations. Albums such as Planet Pit (2011) and Global Warming (2012) brought hits such as "Give Me Everything", with Ne-Yo, and "Timber", with Kesha.

Pitbull is widely recognized for his collaborations with artists in a variety of genres, including Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, and Christina Aguilera. His ability to fuse styles and create party anthems has made him a fixture on radio and dance floors around the world. He was also featured on the official song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, "We Are One (Ole Ola)", alongside Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte.

In addition to music, Pitbull has also ventured into other areas, including business and philanthropy. He launched his own fragrance line, opened a charter school in Miami, and was involved in projects to support education and community development. His charismatic personality and motto "Mr. Worldwide" reflect his global appeal and his ability to transcend cultural boundaries.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Pitbull continues to be one of the most popular and versatile artists in contemporary music. His legacy goes beyond the hit charts, as he is a symbol of celebration, cultural diversity and determination, proudly representing his Latin roots and the spirit of Miami to the world.
