ABOUT THE ARTIST

Breaking Benjamin

Breaking Benjamin is an American alternative rock and hard rock band formed in 1999 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Led by vocalist and guitarist Benjamin Burnley, the band is known for its powerful and melodic sound, which combines intense riffs, introspective lyrics and catchy choruses. From the beginning, Breaking Benjamin built up a loyal fan base and became one of the most popular bands in contemporary rock.

The band's debut album, Saturate (2002), introduced their signature style, with tracks like "Polyamorous" standing out for their energy and mixing alternative rock with heavier nuances. However, it was with We Are Not Alone (2004) that the band gained greater recognition, thanks to hits such as "So Cold" and "Sooner or Later". This album marked the beginning of his rise to the mainstream.

In 2006, Breaking Benjamin released Phobia, one of their most iconic works, with songs such as "The Diary of Jane" and "Breath", which became modern rock anthems. Phobia explores themes of fear, anxiety, and self-discovery, reflecting Burnley's personal struggles and connecting deeply with fans.

The success continued with Dear Agony (2009), which included songs such as "I Will Not Bow" and "Give Me a Sign". This album featured more refined production and a lyrical maturity that solidified the band's place in the rock scene. However, in 2010, Breaking Benjamin went on hiatus due to Burnley's health problems and legal disputes between the band members.

In 2014, Benjamin Burnley announced the band's return with a revamped line-up, including Jasen Rauch (guitar), Keith Wallen (guitar and vocals), Aaron Bruch (bass and vocals) and Shaun Foist (drums). The album Dark Before Dawn (2015) marked a triumphant return, debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 and including hits such as "Failure" and "Angels Fall".

In 2018, they released Ember, a heavier album that explored dark themes, with tracks like "Red Cold River" and "Torn in Two". This was followed by Aurora (2020), an acoustic album that revisited some of the band's biggest hits, offering a new perspective on their most iconic songs.

Breaking Benjamin continues to be one of the most influential bands in contemporary rock, known for their ability to balance emotional and melodic weight. With a discography full of timeless anthems and a deep connection with his fans, Breaking Benjamin remains a constant and respected force in rock music.
