Fatboy Slim, stage name of Norman Quentin Cook, is a British DJ, musician, and producer, born on July 31, 1963, in Bromley, England. He is one of the most recognized and influential artists in electronic music and big beat, a subgenre that blends elements of house, techno, hip-hop, and rock with heavy beats and catchy grooves.

Norman Cook began his musical career as the bassist for the indie rock band The Housemartins, which achieved success in the 1980s with the single "Caravan of Love".
