ABOUT THE ARTIST

Krisiun

Krisiun is a Brazilian death metal band formed in 1990 in Ijuí, Rio Grande do Sul, by brothers Alex Camargo (bass and vocals), Moyses Kolesne (guitar) and Max Kolesne (drums). From the beginning, it stood out for its extreme intensity, the speed of the compositions and the family cohesion that became one of the group's distinctive marks.

After a few years in the underground circuit, they released the debut album Black Force Domain (1995), which caught the attention of international audiences for its brutality and unusual technique, putting Krisiun at the forefront of death metal coming from South America. The album showed that the Brazilian trio had as much creative power as the established bands of the North American and European scene.

On subsequent albums, such as Apocalyptic Revelation (1998) and Conquerors of Armageddon (2000), the band consolidated a reputation for creating fast, aggressive and relentless death metal, with lyrics centered on war, destruction and apocalyptic themes. The international tours made Krisiun ambassadors of Brazilian extreme metal, side by side with names like Sepultura and Sarcófago.

Over the decades, the trio has maintained an impressive creative consistency, with albums such as Works of Carnage (2003), Southern Storm (2008), Forged in Fury (2015) and Scourge of the Enthroned (2018) all received with respect from critics and fans alike. Fidelity to aggressive sound and extreme philosophy became a symbol of their authenticity.

Krisiun is also known for his explosive live performances, in which the trio's power seems to multiply, transforming concerts into true sonic attacks, always received with devotion by the audience.

Today, Krisiun is recognized as one of the pillars of world death metal and, certainly, the most important band of the genre in Latin America, remaining active for more than three decades with the same line-up — a rare feat in extreme metal.
