Lloyd Cole and the Commotions formed in 1982 in Glasgow, Scotland. With Cole on vocals and songwriting, the band released their debut album, Rattlesnakes (1984), which quickly became a British indie pop classic. The album included iconic themes such as "Perfect Skin" and "Forest Fire", which stood out for their literary lyrics and catchy melodies.
