Suede is a British alternative rock band formed in 1989 in London. After Butler's departure, the band released Coming Up (1996), which marked a return to commercial success with tracks like "Trash" and "Beautiful Ones". The album is notable for its more accessible approach and its ability to combine catchy melodies with the band's distinctive style.

Head Music (1999) and A New Morning (2002) continued to explore new musical directions, but received a more lukewarm critical reception. After a hiatus, the band returned with a new lineup and the album Bloodsports (2013), which was well-received and marked a return to the band's more characteristic sound. Night Thoughts (2016) continued the positive reception, presenting a more cohesive and mature approach.

Suede is known for its introspective and emotional lyrics, as well as its glam and theatrical style.
