Capitão Fausto is a Portuguese alternative rock band, formed in Lisbon in 2009. The group consists of Tomás Wallenstein (vocals and guitar), Francisco Ferreira (keyboards), Manuel Palha (guitar), Salvador Seabra (drums), and Domingos Coimbra (bass). Known for their sound that blends elements of psychedelic rock, pop, and Portuguese music, Capitão Fausto quickly became one of the most influential and acclaimed bands in the Portuguese music scene, gaining a legion of fans and critical acclaim.

A Invenção do Dia Claro was recorded in Brazil, and this experience influenced the album's sound, which incorporates elements of Brazilian music and a more tropical and expansive atmosphere. The album was once again praised by critics, with tracks like "Sempre Bem" and "Faço as Vontades" standing out.
